About the Author

American Artist Author Kris Courtney

Kris Courtney is an award-winning American artist and international bestselling author. Born in Indiana with congenital disabilities, he discovered early that artistic expression offered both refuge and power. He wrote his first page at age twelve.

After a career in engineering and robotics, he committed fully to painting and storytelling. For more than twenty-five years he has worked in his signature style, Primitive Literalism — raw, energetic, and focused on emotional truth.

His paintings have been exhibited internationally and collected across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. After moving to Central Florida, the world of snowbird retirement communities inspired Florida Retirement Is Murder.
